Thanks to our partners and ministry friends, we are making a difference among what many would consider “the least of these” for the eternal kingdom of God! Your seed-gifts not only are helping Benny Hinn Ministries take the Gospel to the world through television, crusades, and mission outreaches, but your gifts are also helping to educate, clothe, feed, and care for children who face desperate challenges around the world.
In addition to our numerous children’s ministries around the world, one of the most recent is the Primary Health Care Clinic, providing the only medical care to Durban’s Bottlebrush settlement in South Africa. Bottlebrush, a collection of makeshift housing, is home to over 11,000 people, with few health services available. Over half of all Bottlebrush residents are HIV positive. Many helpful services and plans are included in this amazing ministry headed by Pastors Dennis and Eunice John:
At least twice each week, up to 500 children are served well-balanced meals, drinks, and fruit to take home. We hope to be able to increase the distribution to five times a week by the end of 2008.
Plans include a fully equipped medical center for HIV/AIDS patients and families.
Future plans also include a well-maintained center to care for children orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS.
Pastor Dennis John reports:
“We are training and equipping the people of Bottlebrush, teaching them the basics of primary health care, personal hygiene, and good nutrition. We have seen many healed and their lives changed as a result of providing the health care and food for the children. More and more have given their lives to Christ and are growing in the Lord as we seek to disciple and mentor these new Christians through regular Bible studies.”
The Bible clearly says:
“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble” (James 1:27, NKJV).
He tells us to preach the Gospel and to help the poor and needy. As you give, you enable me to do what God has called us to do around the globe. Yet there are so many children who still need help around the world, and we want to increase our support to reach out to them. We can only do more as you continue to support this ministry and as new partners join us. Please pray for new partners—and encourage your friends and family to join us!
